Jon Ball
Creative Director
As the co-founder of Steel Vintage Ltd, Jon has over a decade of experience leading a team that produced some of the world's finest industrial-style furniture.
With a deep understanding of manufacturing, product design, and project management, he brings a wealth of expertise to Brands By Ball.
Jon plays a key role in supporting Martin with product design development while utilising his background in graphic design and marketing to focus on brand building.

Design Director
Martin is the visionary and lead designer at Brands By Ball, bringing a broad spectrum of ideas and influences into his creations.
As a co-founder of Steel Vintage Ltd, he played a key role in shaping one of the leading names in industrial-style furniture. With a career spanning product design, art, and music production, Martin’s diverse background fuels his innovative approach. His ability to blend creativity with practical design ensures every product is unique, inspiring, and thoughtfully crafted.

Design By Ball – The creative studio at the heart of all things design. From product development and furniture design to branding and marketing, this brand offers expert consultancy and design services tailored to businesses and individuals.
I Think Abstract – An online gallery and agency representing the enigmatic abstract artist MONGO. The new e-commerce platform will offer collectors the opportunity to purchase original paintings and sculptures from this exciting British talent.
British Industrial – A brand set to define the industry, offering clients worldwide the finest industrial-style furniture and products. Built on design excellence and premium craftsmanship, British Industrial blends timeless aesthetics with modern functionality.

Brands By Ball is proud to introduce its first furniture brand, continuing Steel Vintage's legacy with a fresh new vision. Focusing on designing incredible executive furniture, Ball & Bear will offer the very finest bespoke products.
Our Credentials
We founded Steel Vintage Ltd in 2011, and it quickly became a leading name in premium industrial-style furniture. From office desks and tables to storage, seating, beds, and kitchens, each piece was meticulously handcrafted, combining raw polished steel, antiqued brass, copper, and luxurious solid oak and walnut to create a signature aesthetic.
Although the business came to an end in late 2024, we remain incredibly proud of our achievements. Our furniture was shipped worldwide to renowned clients such as Rolex, Cloud Imperium Games, Fred Perry, and many other respected businesses and private collectors.
Over the years, Steel Vintage evolved into a thriving operation, with a dedicated team of over 20 skilled furniture makers, designers, and support staff. This growth allowed us to maintain exceptional craftsmanship, establish a global reputation, and generate over £2 million in revenue.
